Olfactory Idols
As part of the RA Late: Transcendence, AVM Curiosities presented a scented installation that united the iconography of two great artists.
Taking inspiration from the classical elements of fire, water, earth and wind, Olfactory Idols was a sensory homage to both Bill Viola and Michelangelo.
The series of scented busts took the form of Michelangelo’s iconic David, creating an aromatic experience of masculine beauty, intimacy and memory.
