From building sandcastles on the beach to the first time we looked up to see a great urban structure towering above us, architecture can be a powerfully evocative sensory experience. 

Inspired by the Royal Academy's Sensing Spaces exhibition AVM Curiosities presented 'Architextures' - an edible exploration of the nostalgic and mnemonic power of the textures of our urban experience.

Architextures was part of the RA's Friday Night Late, where alongside the edible sandcastles, chocolate marble and freshly-baked bread essence, there was a variety of sensory entertainment hosted by the RA.
